Kevin B. Morrison Secures Key Endorsement of Teamsters Joint Council 25
02/21/2018Labor unions continue to pledge their support for Kevin B. Morrison’s candidacy to unseat Illinois’ Republican party chair Cook County Commissioner Tim Schneider. Teamsters Joint Council 25 is the latest labor endorsement Kevin Morrison secures for his bid for Cook County Commissioner of the 15th District.
“We are proud to endorse Kevin Morrison for Cook County Commissioner. The district needs a fighter and voice advocating on behalf of our families, not just the wealthy 1%," said Terrence J. Hancock, President of Teamsters Joint Council 25. "Kevin has a proven track record of fighting for social and economic issues that are important to our membership. We have full confidence that he will be a strong advocate for working men and women.”
Morrison said, “I am humbled to receive the endorsement of the Teamsters Joint Council 25. I will be a tireless steward on their behalf to make our district and Cook County stronger and more inclusive for their hardworking membership who are the driving force in our City and County.”
Kevin B. Morrison is running against the current Chair of the Illinois Republican Party 15th District Cook County Commissioner Tim Schneider. Schneider is a supporter of President Trump and Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner, who seek to destroy working families and the middle-class. Schneider’s policies seek to only protect the millionaires in the district.
