Kevin B. Morrison Out-Fundraises the Incumbent
07/17/2018With only 16 weeks left until Election Day, momentum continues to grow for Democratic nominee for 15th district Cook County Commissioner Kevin B. Morrison. By a 60 to 1 ratio, Morrison out-fundraised the three-term incumbent Illinois GOP Chair Cook County Commissioner Tim Schneider.
Morrison raised $75,251.50 with an average individual contribution of $100 while Schneider only brought in $1,250 for the second quarter. Morrison reported $71,231.30 cash on hand.
“I’m incredibly humbled by the amount of support we have garnered to unseat the incumbent a close ally of Governor Rauner and President Trump. It is clear that voters are ready to elect an independent Democrat, who will fight to rein in wasteful spending and reform our county government to protect our middle-class and working families,” said Morrison.
